>Anime and anime-influenced things are so popular nowadays, and when the next generation of artists are in control, things will probably be even more anime influenced.

I think the problem that's killing the western animation industry is more home grown rather than anime.

The general attitude of the West still refuses to treat animation seriously is the only thing killing western animation. that and western normies prefers realism above all else and that's why you will always see the life action adaption getting global spotlight while the source material receives almost none of the love.
