There is no such thing as a tablet for "beginners", these recommendations prefaced with that word represent an inversion of reality, where something harder to draw with is promoted as an ideal to people who've never drawn before.

I have not yet used an XP Pen tablet, but at a cursory glance there is no reason one would choose the MW (8x5 active area) vs the Deco 01 V2 or Deco L. (10 x 6) at that <$100 price point, for example

Here's the secret: starting from 0, it's going to take you many years to get good at drawing. The idea that you should use something deficient in any sense of the word during this formative experience is just the wrong way to think about things. What is $100 over 5 years? How about $200? $300? Even $500 or $1000: It's nothing. You can make that money taking a few extra hours at work over a few weeks-and the tablets themselves hold on to a good chunk of their value over time, they'll never be completely worthless.

Really need something new? Get one of these:

XP-Pen: https://www.xp-pen.com/store/buy/deco-pro-gen2.html

Huion: https://store.huion.com/products/inspiroy-giano

Wacom: https://estore.wacom.com/en-us/wacom-intuos-pro-l-us-pth860.html

However, I promise you if you get a used Intuos Large on ebay or any other similar site, you will be just as well off as you would be with any of the above options (just use common sense, if they're in good condition cosmetically from a reputable seller you're almost certainly going to be fine).
