That's a good question. I'm honestly not sure, desu.
It would be nice to have a publisher, but that's a more wishful thinking realm for me.

I think a more realistic approach would be to create my story on the side while having a full-time job (which is basically my situation atm), and once I have a short story finished... I can try selling them at conventions and publish them on the web, etc..

But I guess the recent C-Virus really made things unpredictable when it comes to conventions.
I guess I'll just cross those bridges when I get there.

For now, I'm just focused on trying to get this done in time. ^_^
