Mostly it's that the critique here almost always isn't super useful. And more often than not it's just shitposting by some edgy anon.

I'm well aware that almost every painting I posted isn't completed. And I'm well aware that I misuse acrylic. And just because I argue back doesn't mean I don't still internalize criticism. Honestly I just like coming to /ic/ for the shitposting. Nobody here even paints as far as I can tell. It's all kids obsessed with drawing.

And also I'm a self-destructive, self-loathing asshole. I tend to be super aware of how awful most of these look. I've never posted most of them before ever. Decided to post all the trash just because it seemed like a funny place to do it.

Like why do anything?
