Her legs seem really far apart.

Mostly while trying to create the illusion of depth you are pushing too hard, like with the eyes, and shooting yourself in the foot. Thing is, people say -perspective- a lot on /ic/ but more specifically the crit is usually about shapes/form not making sense in a drawing.

You pretty much have to become extremely critical of every shape you are drawing and learn how to look at individual pieces/building blocks without thinking of them as symbols, as ears/noses/eyes. Pretend you are a making a 3D model in autodesk maya. The computer won't know what the hell you're doing if just you put down lines while looking from one side. You have to start with a big block/sphere of polygons. Everything has to be fully constructed and interconnected. You are now unable to use shortcuts like the ones you might see in anime, like sideways mouths or exaggerated perspective on eyes, because these are fakey fake symbols and not shapes that actually make sense. Of course, to actually get to the point where you can break down every piece of human anatomy into building blocks in your mind like a computer is an astronomical amount of work. The logical place to start is with the face, at least until you can draw noses and eyes that make technical sense BEFORE you stylize them.
