Fuck em lol. People who feel the need to dogpile beginners reek of insecurity and will never succeed at their own goals because they're too busy kicking others down the ladder to bother climbing up on their own. Better to just believe™ in the journey and keep going despite whatever bullshit they might say.
Like sure, the art is a bit goofy but for me it adds to the charm and makes the work more interesting to look at. It's unique and stands out on its own and nothing anybody says can ever take that away from you, exceptionally skilled or otherwise.
Plus, so long as you keep to your studies outside of working on your comic, it will continue to improve and before you know it you'll look back on your first pages and while they might be old, you'll still be fond of them because they're a record of where you were at when you first started. If you keep redoing pages each time you feel like you've improved, the comic will never get done and you'll burn yourself out chasing a standard that's always out of reach. Just do your best to keep an open mind while studying and don't be afraid of failing, we learn the most when we eat total shit sometimes.
Best of luck.

What is the deal with red pencil for sketches?
It looks cool when /int/s, advanced and pro artists use it, but is there a specific reason to pick it?
