Why should I have to name them all? I named enough to inform you that I'm familiar with the concept, which is all that is necessary for this discussion. Furthermore I provided examples from Cezanne's own life and work that support the claim that great work can rely on formal rather than narrative qualities. I could have used any number of artists though. What do Monet's haystacks mean? What story do Pollock's paintings tell?
