/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

I suck at color.
There's too many hues in this composition, but I feel like they need to be there. Brown for the wood, chartreuse for the weed, blue for the sky, yellow for the gold...
How do you work with this when there's this many colors and they all seem to be needing to be saturated?
Why are beach pictures so beautiful but I can't seem to make this one work? It shouldn't look so cartoony.

Also this is for a commission I don't even smoke weed.
