/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

I've done a few studies since getting back into fundamentals to scrub out animoo brain rot and realized im picking it back up pretty well.
Something I wanted to start adding into my head studies is some painting studies.
Am i on the right track for this? I'm looking at the planes of the face and have my line art very lightly over the top. Painting is not a strength I have, and havent done it traditionally, so its a little difficult for me.
