First, remember no matter who you are you're never going to consistently top yourself every single new drawing you make. Do you beat your highscore every time you play a game (this analogy is already dated but you know what I mean)? Of course not, you can only blow yourself out the water every now and again, but it's the work you do in between that gets you there.

As for what I do, personally: I take a break. Usually 1-3 days even, I just don't draw, and instead recharge by watching things like new movies, learning about new things, looking over my old work to see what I still need to improve at (which is ultimately always answered "everything" but you have to pick at least one thing specifically) just doing what you can to inspire and enrich your creativity. I always notice a big improvement between the last piece I did before I took my break and the first piece I do after.

Granted I practice a good chunk of the day every day, it's only natural I'd need a weekend break every week or two. Your mileage may very.

Honestly OP I don't think Marshall has much to teach you, but you're probably going to be stuck relearning things from erik for a long time. I've said this before, I shall say it again, the best video lecture series on perspective is Gary Meyer's Gnomon course, much quicker than Olson's but also much more exact and complete than Marshall's.

Best of luck, I'm sure with a bit of practice you'll be a wonderful artist.

Because I'm a degenerate with high standards and no one makes the kind of art I want to see for my niche fetish that's about the only thing that gets me off. So I aim to become the best in the niche, not that that's saying much but think a high level of quality for a porn artist. Half because I want to create what has yet to exist but also half because I want to spite all the shitty dramaqueens that are the current generation of artists for my niche, and show them just how lazy and generic they all are. Nothing makes me smile from ear to ear like the thought of autistic chronic masturbators being sexually dependent on my work once they get a taste of it, or stealing commissions away from so many mediocre artists.

Because unfortunately this is at a quality level where there is no way to give advice that isn't as broad as, "practice anatomy along with everything else".

I mean, yes, "sucks" is a word that could be used to describe this but don't think of it as being good or not, just think of improving. This is where you're at, now just keep moving forward. The secret to being good at art is not being complacent with where you are, but always looking for where you want to be. So memes aside, study some loomis, get in the habit of practicing, find enjoyment in studying and post your shit here for redlines and such.

I don't mean this in a derogatory way, but you're not good yet.

Work toward a better understanding of all aspects of art and you'll produce better work. If you're only working on your "cartoony style" what you're really doing is building a symbol library in your mind that's only going to hinder your progress later on.

If you actually understand perspective, proportions, and color theory to a reasonable extent, you can mix things up and make cartoony shit that's actually decent looking.

Do studies of simple shapes and human figures. Read and do the practice work in Loomis' books.

After getting past how distracting the faces are, the hands and feet are the most glaring mistake. The hands actually look decent for for a cartoon, but both the hands and feet in both your images aren't symmetrical (they're different sizes and shapes - the thumbs attach at different points on each hand), you could improve this by doing studies of 3d shapes.

For the love of Loomis, don't put eyes on top of hair. If you want eyes that big, make the hair fit properly around that, at least let the hair overlap the eyes, goddamn.

I like the concept in your second image. If she's supposed to be a robot/android thing disguised as a human chick, you may want to make that exceedingly visually obvious to the viewer. In general, the concept you're trying to convey should read from a distance (or in a thumbnail), especially in more cartoony content where you usually have greater leeway where suspension of disbelief is concerned. If it's supposed to be a secret that she's an android, then there's no point in showing the android aspects at all. Right now, the image on the right could go either way.
