I got the idea from ones like this. I didn't really think of painting them like you said because I thought it was an exercise to help you expand your visual library. Like now I have a method or style for painting leaves

I guess youre saying I should paint macros of the materials?

I plan on doing these for a year, so I will definitely go back and try the same ones again.
