We've been together over ten years and that was our biggest ever fight. I'm not saying she's perfect, she's worked through a lot of things. I don't think I would say that she's toxic because of how she reacted when she found out that I'd been secretly writing and selling erotic novels (with a female pen name) whenever she left the house to work.

If you don't enjoy the process and enjoy the satisfaction of improving at a skill, then what's the point? You'll never be a master no matter how hard you try, so if you can't enjoy the grind, then you'll always be miserable.
