>I get that, but art AIs are already a thing.
>They exist and there's no way to take them back now.
yes it is anon sadly greed usually triumphs well we can hope some effective protective tool like a supercharged version of glaze comes around or the legislation sledge of the government starts hammering cowboys in the wild west that is big tech.

>If we don't make art generators widely accessible, only companies will have access to them.
>Imagine a world where only disney and google have access to the most powerful AI. That's a dystopian future I don't want to live in.
>The only way to avoid these futures is by making AI as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.
big problem with that anon this technology will 100% be proprietary and controlled by big tech why? 2 reasons costs and safety without safety rails pre installed into the software ChatGTP will tell you how to make meth build bombs and kill people and imagine generators will generate loli vore scat porn for ya which you can imagine not many companies want to be associated with.
about costs these things are almost as energy intensive as crypto to train and maintain(if you want a good model) it's going to be in the hands of big biz with all the clauses that comes with.
a third reason is also simple responsibility people are too retarded and irresponsible to use tech like this rationally I mean fuck disinformation and plagarism already spreads like wildfire imagine all the chaos that can be caused.

>But I thought you guys said that AI art sucks and is full of imperfections?
it is but in the most robotic artificial way possible that's why it's (currently) easy to detect AI faggotry they make simple mistakes that no human would ever make like drawing 6 fucking fingers and no sakimimeme doesn't count.

>thehive.ai is pretty good at detecting ai images.
huh your kinda right I tried it with some AI slop and my own scribbles and found and it was able to weed out the wank from the soul pretty well perhaps it would be wise to build some form of browser extension like AdBlock so you can near instantly and conveniently detect AI shit.

>The thing about glaze is that most people aren't going to use it
sadly not although you can never rule out some artist switching after getting really REALLY asmad at having there work scaped and plagiarized I expect it will become very common soon enough.
