Hope you don’t mind the edit but i would do it like that:
Maybe adding a highlight also helps,but idk if you even add it in your drawings so…just a advice

I did a small thingie with the iris as well,maybe changing it can also helps!
As you can see,the 1st one is staring at something,at you maybe,something closer…
While the 3rd one (left bottom) is staring at the center…
