Is it strange to get really autistic about the "rules" of your style? I've started doing this thing where I put these white outlines around characters, I like it because it sorta makes them pop more and it sorta gives me like an early 2000's animated music video vibe, though I can't think of a particular video that uses anything like this. My main goal is to make comics though, and now I'm worrying about shit like how that'll look when a character is interacting with the world around them. Shit like, "If they pick up an object will I outline the object too, or should I just start giving all objects an outline?" or "If a character touches another character will their outlines overlap or just mesh together for an instant?"

I get hung up on stuff like this when it comes to stylization and I'm wondering if anyone else does the same. Pic related is just a quick two minute sketch without guidelines or anything to show what it looks like
