At all stages, encourage them to proritize drawing whatever they want and have fun. Teach them that if their drawing sucks they can always re-do it later and they should embrace making mistakes because they'll never stop making them.

Assuming your program is aimed at very new people who never held a pen. Sticky is pretty good. Focus on making them on explaining what symbol drawing is and how to get rid of it. There are 3 crucial things a beginner should do:
>copying stuff like the upside down Picasso, Bargue Plates, life drawing (learning to copy things easily and draw proportions right)
>perspective crash course (literally just the basics of perspective, 1 pts and 2pts perspective are very easy to explain/learn but crucial at every level)
>Boxes exercises, spheres, 3d forms, etc. (to learn to draw in volumes in perspective)
This sounds similar to shit like drawabox. But where drawabox fails is that it never makes you draw boxes forever and never teaches you how to make use of that.

So after the beginner feels comfortable with simple perspective and drawing boxes, I'd just guide them towards Loomis/Hampton/Bridgeman etc. or similar video courses.
From then on, they should focus on creating finished pieces, but before each piece make a few preparatory studies. Wanna draw an anime girl? Then copy some anime girls, do a master drawing related to the subject, do some gesture drawing, look up the Loomis section about how to draw a female body and incorporate all that in the drawing,... This is a good habit that will make anyone progress quickly.

Being made to serve Webtoon does gook art an unbelievable disservice.
The over-reliance on 3d backgrounds makes characters look floaty and disconnected from scenes. So even if the shading and coloring is competent, it ends up looking flat and unappealing.
But that's nothing compared to the utterly vile long scroll down format they all use. It genuinely is the worst possible way you can draw a comic, if you can even call it that. Paneling is extremely important in comic and manga for a reason, different actions HAVE to be framed differently. There is nothing you can really do with the scroll down format besides the overused tricks of leaving more spaces between pictures or bunching them together.

These comics are made like this not because the author thinks it'd make it better, as it comes down to
1. saving time because webtoon gives its slaves inhuman deadlines
2. grabbing people's attention, its only colored because they are forced to do it, black/white comics dont do well in the webtoons rat race
3. serving a target audience of mobilefaggots with 0 appreciation for art who will just scroll through as fast as possible to match their 3mins dump on the toilet with their phone out

You cannot produce good content in these conditions. Some pieces look technically good, >>6598450 showcases some nice movement for example, but even there you can tell that its a small ass crop of a scene that was poorly framed in the comic and treated no different than any other image, so all of its impact is just lost.

Just draw, try giving depth to your drawings and you'll feel it eventually.

you should get a basic understanding of construction before going further.
there's a ton of books in the artbook thread on that matter, go in the beginner section. Look up Fun with a Pencil by Loomis or Design and Invention by Hampton. If you want to get into landscapes or draw better background you could also read "Perspective Made Easy".
I'm not telling you to spend hours grinding and studying these artbooks as a lot of anons here seem to do, just understand what they're about so you can continue with decent fundamentals to build upon.

If you want to work in the realm of realism you're gonna need to reference heavily - not in the sense of "gathering images of things so you understand 'em" like they did in the Renaissance, but literally copying shit from photos because your brain cannot possibly recreate all the intricacies of life from scratch and it's so much faster. Once the Dutch masters started doing it as their go-to process, realist painters and illustrators haven't looked back because it's a much stronger method for what it's designed to do.

OTOH if you draw constructively and you're an average human, your capabilities are going to be severerly limited and you'll either be able to only draw heavily stylized stuff or still have to work hard on reference to obtain lesser results (in the eyes of 95% of people) than artists who just copy. On top of that, your career is going to be limited to animation, comics. and very small niche markets with no entry barriers and insane amounts of competition (good luck pitching your show to Cartoon Network).

Not that there is anything wrong with comics or animation but artists who do these things are dime a dozen. If you take, say, indie comics, actual drawing skills have minimal impact on an artist's reception compared to other things that have nothing to do with art like how well you relate to your audience. Can you relate to teenagers and sell them a character or a story? I sure as hell can't.
