Did you see the picture from the book?
I pic related it in this post.

I'm still convinced the box-method only works in context, I can grind boxes/circles as like a daily training for like 30 minutes, but I want and feel the need to apply it in context.

The method in the book is a derivative, a step further if you will, of the box-sculpting method, which I don't resent or something, I just haven't started with drawing any weird angles(notice that I'm just 4 days in), I only just started so I figured I'd start with the easiest angle, the head-on angle. Just haven't started with that, but my intention was to learn the 'sculpting' way of drawing.

I noticed last year (I just sorta finished school, so I finally am stress-free and have a good amount of time but I studied anime on my own whenever I felt like it) that the lines in anime characters all match up so closely, especially in the face!
It's really quite amazing, but the placement of the mouth, nose and eyes in an anime girl proportionally match up extremely closely. It's quite amazing honestly.

>Why the fuck are you even measuring these in numbers holy shit?
I have autism, and I kinda know if something's not right, it's kind of cope to do it so strictly though, so I need to loosen up a bit on it, but if my measuruments on the Centorea reference are correct, and correctly applied in my drawing, yours were off.
I also do not like to deviate from 'the anime', I would like to be able to exactly replicate the directors intent, that's some next level autism.

I kind of want to lean lightly on it, it's definitely a bit of a coping mechanism, also if your observatory skills aren't quite on a pro artists level, it is extremely frustrating when something's too short or too long.
