There is vilppu, proko etc. putting a lot of emphasis on gesture and "the bean". But then there is this guy : https://youtu.be/iLIjD-5AgWU who also creates great art and animations.

And seemingly tons of others who draw great figures and sketches whilst having never even drawn a single proko or vilppu gesture.

I'm beyond confused at this point. I want to draw stylized characters, not realistic people with tons of folds and crevices. I'm grinding my vilppu gestures and going through his manual, but I'm afraid that I'm wasting my time since his approach is so traditional, while I want to draw something not so traditional like stylized characters in comics/manga.

The art teaching world is so convoluted and complicated that it's making me sick and unmotivated to draw at all because you get different information from every corner you look for advice.
