Funny, I'm not into drugs, but I'm always drawn to art with psychedelic qualities.
The underground comix of the late 60s-70s were a big entry point for me. Artists like Robert Crumb and Rick Griffin dropped acid, and you can see the effects in their work.
Another fave of mine is French artist Philippe Caza (attached).
But I don't think you need drugs to have psychedelic qualities to your work. It's unlikely drugs played a big part in Steve Ditko or Jack Kirby's work, yet both have psychedelic qualities.
I think we're entering an age where psychedelia—neo-psychedelia?—is very relevant. Rapid changes in politics, culture and technology are shifting our consciousness. Weird art reflects weird times.
