Not sure where you want to go in the end but you mentioned being less deviantart and more like a pixiv artist so I tried doing this.

If you want to draw anime you should just grab the bull by the horns and grab a bunch of illustrations/doujin pages and trace over them as practice. Realize what the key points are in contemporary anime.
