>decide to do more drawing studies instead of technique studies
>pick an anime girl to draw last night
>started drawing it late last night but kept getting hung up on even just the right shoe and spent an hour just trying to get the length to width ratio of it right with numerous attempts at drawing just the leg + shoe by itself
>got pretty frustrated and went to bed
>laid in bed thinking about it and realized that i was spending too much time on a single aspect of it and that i should just try to tackle it in its entirety today then afterwards try to focus on redoing individual parts so that i can at least feel good knowing that i drew something to completion
>fast forward to today, make a fresh attempt at the same study
>nail basically every limb and part of it on the first pass, feel no real need to redo anything
progress feels good
