I think only something like 30% of the work I've made is porn though. It's not like I worked from year 1 through 10 just to become a porno artist. I had and still have other goals. Going pro in eromanga was just a short term goal I didn't even have until around 2022 (when I realized it might be a real possibility). Until then I didn't even intend to ever try to work in manga, I was just going to try and get something going self-publishing, but I realized I don't have the stomach for the "publishing" part of that.
>also, the trend is dying out fast, same as pink eiga to film
There's no reason at all this route to serialization would die out, and it was never a "trend" to begin with. It's a completely natural consequence of the surrounding industry. Lots of amateurs want to make drawing their living -> they make works for comiket -> eventually get good enough making doujin works that they can get picked up by an eromanga publisher -> eventually get good enough producing manga as a pro that they can try for a serialization. It's been like this for many decades and no part of this has changed in recent years, so I highly doubt that it'll stop being a viable path in the foreseeable future.
