If you were going for a tonal study, you didn't push this enough. The outlines, especially on the glasses, are jarring in comparison to the originals smooth execution. I believe this would have benefited from some use of an eraser to cut out highlights, and a go over with a conte or softer graphite to get the deep shadows.

Not really feeling the shading. what's the light source? Try flipping your canvas, her face is kinda wonky.


Working on a knitting pattern. Need some input about the fish. I feel it needs a little something-something in the inside. Thoughts?
