How frowned upon is it to use real photos as bgs every-now-and-then? I tried to render the figure with the orange lights but couldn't figure a way to do it without it looking like ass.

>On the first sight, I'm not convinced by the eyes. I'd place the eye on the left, slightly below and slightly right. Using perspective lines of the mouth, nose and eyes helps.
I see it now. To my own detriment, I neither construct or use perspective lines, instead just eyeballing everything and adjusting as I go. It's a mountain of bad habits.
