I never said that? I only learned heads from Huston, and I reached my goal of drawing an accurate (enough) head. I finished Hampton, Hogarth, Drawabox, Space Drawing, and I'm currently studying Bridgman (master study).
If you doubt then feel free to point out any anatomical errors of a 5 second GESTURE.

used a reference, that's how much perspective and anatomy is helping me. I grinded observation to the point where beg started accusing me of tracing, so I think my observation is top-notch now.
I will only use reference to check out how the limbs bending affect the surrounding areas, I think. For example the armpits.

Also mind you my observation has reached such a level that I get accused of tracing on /beg/, so please don't say I'm "too weak for complicated models".
OP is better at hands than me, but I am better everywhere else especially the face.
