So I watched a snippet of a Cesar Santos drawing vid and I tried a very quick charcoal sphere drawing to see how a dry sponge works blending.
Here’s the result.
The first I took my time getting the contour of the sphere correct before anything else and from there used graphite pencil and charcoal and a tortillion, the second I didn’t really care about the shape of the sphere so much, just wanted to test out blending with the sponge like Santos seems to do..
Anyway, just something I wanted to show.
Also was seeing if the cast shadow looked proper in the second one.
P.s. regretted not taking the time in the 2nd one to get the contour right......why would I not take the opportunity to draw correctly when I have the chance duh!
