Come on, there are a lot of female artists who developed their own distinct style. And I find the same-face syndrome, at least in anime and manga, to be more prominent among the average male artists. I find your statement to be only applicable to high art where men would sacrifice everything, even his life, to discover and improvise their artistic vision. It's a sacrifice that women, due to their nature, have lesser capability of doing. But for now, we live in the days when high art is absolutely dying, and therefore nowadays the line between masculine and feminine art direction is really obscure.
