the sketches you linked have some details that make them look more polished but aren't necessary to what gesture essentially is, like ears, hair buns, guidelines for eyes and even friggin nipples. If your skill still doesn't reach that level then try something more rudimentary and go up from there. If you compare yourself to ppl who have more skill and speed than you you're fucked. avoid that and just try to work at your own pace.
