To be fair, abstract art isn't "dumb", it's dumb to be trying to discuss abstract art on a board dedicated to more "traditional" learning/drawing methods, but abstract art in general has it's place... it's just that even abstract artists have some mastery of traditional art before they jump into abstraction. At least I'd hope.
