B&W mastercopy WIP, learning how to paint color into grayscale values and seems like edge control is a big factor here. I'm going to start my attempt to replicate brushstrokes and work on the drapery next, any advice beforehand appreciated.

Nice WIP so far, I hope you don't mind me asking but how do you plan or evaluate the glazing beforehand for a mastercopy? I do painting straight on canvas with an underpainting and have glazed only once.

I like the concept. I think next time you could try to start with block ins first instead of starting with small strokes because the values are confusing.

I like this one a lot, the focus is a lot clearer compared to your earlier paintings. I don't have much to say cause it seems like you already got plenty of help and know what direction to take.

Very scenic. Only crit is the bottom right is a little distracting cause it fights with the bird for attention but I like the bird a lot, anon.

Pretty, but I do think you could work on values, they are somewhat chaotic and with the hair I think starting with a large mass and then getting to the small details such as individual strands would work better. Tbh it's difficult to crit with the lighting.
