Debatable again. Someone who buys Malevich is not the same as someone who buys Jeff Koons. But you cannot compare Malevich with Jeff Koons, or a pretentious no-name in a local gallery. The two latter are scammers. Malevich is on a different level and he didn’t just paint one fucking black square his whole life, he was actually someone who painted in many different styles, just like Duchamp or Picabia. And I’m an 17th-19th centuryfag, so I am not into these at all, but I can understand their extent. Except that my understandement of such extents stop at post-war era.
