argie here, working as a GD/ocasional illustrator.

i live in a small but lively city and we held a monthly Drink&Draw meeting in different bars every month.
small and comfy meetings, with a lounge dj, a long table where you can draw, drink and chat with fellow d/ic/ks. we have a guest on every meeting displaying his/her work or doing some live drawing, a local artshop offering art tools, ocasionally someone sells some small artworks, tattoo artists are always around, etc.

is a good opportunity to meet people and learn a lot, and is not rare to team with others to do different things, from graffitti to art exhibitions.
