Olson's course is only long because he teaches through meticulous demonstration and starts of as simple as possible to build onto later.
He sn't skipping anything. A small portion of all the earlier videos is him setting up the cone of vision because he also believes in teaching through repetition to solidify the understanding of perspective in your head.
Meyer isn't really quicker, he's just as slow as Olson in his demonstrations. The difference is he's not teaching everything, just what he think's is important to get you started. I think thats fine but I wanted to learn as much as possible.
Meticulous demonstration and repetition, that's his teaching philosophy, if that's unappealing to you, I don't know what to tell you, something you just learn that way

Catalyst was a terrible game with shitty art direction. Yes, EA is to blame, because they stipped DICE of creative freedom by stripping everything that made the first game good.

Especially the art direction.

Fuck EA, the laughing joke of the video game industry.
