Completely worthless argument and LAION isn't going to take down its database nor stop hosting publicly available images.

AI model weights and parameters are not copyrightable, nor do they have any copywritable data within them even a single pixel of an image.
But /ic/ fails to understand this because they are tech illiterate. The AI neural Net will comprehend the meaning of what the *essence of Greg is* but it's not copying any of Greg's works it also has no concept of bias which is why more scraping and training doesn't = a better model. If you ask it to draw an original stick figure it will do so combing what it has learned from its training.
Surprise surprise we don't live in a vacuum and neither does AI.
I think artists are quite afraid for what's going to happen and honestly not to sugar coat it they should. AI was at first touted as not being great at abstract tasks, as it turns out that's the one thing they do very well. Intact better then say driving a car.

Tldr its over, if you are a digital graphic designer your line of work is going extinct and there's nothing you can do about it. Teams of artists will be reduced to one or two people. Trad and fine artists will be safe so don't worry
