Would you say that if someone went through school not learning to read or write well? No, the blame is put on teachers because teachers are expected to teach these things, being integral for a modern society as they are. Having one long string of shit art teachers is a curse many have experienced, and is the root cause of society where "anyone can learn to draw" but few do.

You and me both brother. If there's a means to improving art education it starts with a textbook that apes Loomis, Keys to Drawing, and Perspective Made Easy. Progressively more advanced texts the same you'd get in Math. But a curriculum that teaches people to draw is priority second to a curriculum that socializes young students on all the great gay, female, and negro artists there've been. Not long it's a Jewish conspiracy or anything though ;^)
