Softwares are more viable to have shit tacked on with it. Virus, Cryptominers, etc. No matter how smart you are, its a headache to deal with these things. Unless you wanna waste your time with a VM to test if it does have shit, it's better off to just pay while you can. I've barely pirated softwares and games now because of this. The heydays of pirating software is over. The convenience of buying games and software especially when it's on sale far outweighs the headache of a pirated copy. Books and movies are still relatively easier because its less likey to have to shit tacked on.
