I was wondering, I was told that I should learn the fundamentals before drawing cartoony anime type characters.

So I've been taking life drawing lessons. But I still mess up things like the faces, eyes too big or in the wrong place.

Or I draw the head too big. Maybe its because I'm used to drawing my own cartoony anime style.

I want to improve, but it seems so much easier to just draw animeish stuff. Cause things like the nose and eyes are stylised, which makes them a bit easier to draw than real noses and eyes.

What do you guys think? Here is something I drew in class

Id rew this in my life drawing class the other day, My teacher says he can see a lot of improvement from when I first started.

But I still have to work on things like the faces, hands and feet. Also hair is a bitch to get right.

The thing is, I sarted class last year in september, and we are finished in april. But I keep making the same mistakes regarding faces and feet.

I draw the eyes in the wrong place, or too big. Or my feet don't really look like feet.

My teacher says to practice, which i do, but somehow my art keeps looking off.

Can anyone give me some guidance?
