many people do this kind of thing, but make sure that the mouth is on the center line of your face (unless your character is pulling that kind of expression, of course) the mouth is generally not directly under the nose.
the eyes should follow mostly a straight line. make construction lines from your first good eye if you don't know where to place the second one.
