Thanks; I tried to address what both of you pointed out.

To the second person, could you expand on what you meant by "no use of gesture"? I know the pose isn't the greatest if that's what you're getting at.

To the first person, I'm still not totally sure I get what you meant about the position of the head.

I tried to adjust the crease line on the thumb to look a bit more natural.
Made the brow shallower so hopefully that looks better.
And I particularly made the feet larger, since I felt that the slightly more proportional feet didn't look right with the exaggerated hands. I think it helps the style come through better.
I also adjusted the mouth because I was going for a closed-mouth bottom-lip-biting expression, but I still don't think it reads as well as I'd like.

I'm probably not going to try and mess with this piece anymore, but more comments and critique for the sake of improvement are very welcome. I haven't really posted on /ic/ before and this is honestly better feedback than I expected.
