you could say this for any career field really. jobs in the US are scant, despite the lies of unemployment going down and we're headed for another clusterfuck once automation really takes off and the STEM meme runs it course. anyone who starts out at the bottom rung in life have a dramatically lower chance of ever moving up regardless.

at the end of the day, life has no guarantees so if you want to do something just go for it. there's no point in thinking about all that.

lot of good info for absolute beginners but as >>2843175 says it's not worth it beyond that point. I really have a problem with their site and video player setup. the navigation is terrible and there isn't any order to the lessons. chris legaspi's lessons are the worst. bill perkins has great lessons on color theory and painting. huston rambles too much. vilppu is great. danny galiot is so-so
