If you can imagine it fitting into a box it isn’t too bad as long as you can manipulate boxes in perspective. I haven’t focused on legs as far as proportion very much so you are right foreshortening them is a challenge for me. I am not very sure of what method you are describing. From what I gather your approach sounds like I would: 1 learn correct proportion and how to measure in perspective. 2 learn how perspective shortens distance on a precise scale. 3 use this to subtract distance from my standard proportion. This sounds like a good idea technically but I think it would be harder to do than some other technique that is more based on simplifying to basic shapes and manipulating those instead.

Anyways here is attempt number umpteen. Watch me fuck it up
