/g/ is by far the worst offender. A few years back person posted an innocuous lookinh link to a site almost got me banned on said site for exploiting a hack and my account was immediately disabled.

Do you people of this world realise that Jason Citron who owns discord sold his last discord like app to a company that bought it for user information? Discord already has a within 1-3km radius of your street address thanks to your ip address, your internet provider and giving discord your gender narrows the potential people you could be by 50%. They could find where you live if you tried. Then they have your voice and potentially videos of you in your own home. They know things like your screen size and your font list and extensions you have installed. Even if you switched browsers they can fingerprint you.

Stop giving the botnet your personal info to sell.
