How much would it theorically take for a beginner to reach this exact level of skill and draftmanship? Especially his more detailed B&W pieces full how hatching and detailing and approach to anatomy, volume and perspective. He nails a more traditional hatching style digitally really well and has solid fundamentals to boot.
It's not quite at the level of actual pro manga artists like my actual influences, but it is a good point of comparison in regards to how skillful I want my art to look like before I start tackling comics full time (almost no one in /mmg/ is good enough art-wise).

Also, are there any other people striving for high detail line focused manga-like art styles as well? All I see posted here is cartoonier, simplier or render-based art styles, not much stuff that actually implements complex detailing.
