I'm planning to paint a miniature from Dark Sword based on this pic. I decided to colour the original sketch to have a good idea of what am I going to paint, but I'm a bit stuck.

Stones will be a yellow-gray sandy colour most likely. I don't know if the underbelly will look good if I paint it gold on top of the sandy rocks. I'm also torn between a golden skin on the fleshy part, light flesh tone, brown or something odd like blue or purple.

Golden parts will be painted in a non-metallic technique.

B is correct. A person that is shown on one side should remain on it throughout the scene unless they are shown moving around or you want to throw the audience on a loop. Watch a few movies and notice how this is kept between takes.
