The sooner you start drawing independently without reference or copy the sooner you will learn how to start drawing. The only time you may use a reference is to help you draw annoying shit like hands and feet in a foreshortened or difficult perspective. It's your own fault for falling for the grind boxes and you will automatically learn how to draw trap.
