Also, I've been wondering about this for a while
The shading in this guy's drawings are very nice, however a lot of the characters are fair skinned
You wouldn't know that the two characters in the pic I posted are olive skinned and brown if you didn't already know the characters
Should I leave most of a fair skinned character's body unshaded? I mean, the areas where shadows are cast still receive shading but most or at least half of their skin would just be white
Like, if I tried shading in pic related except with pencil instead of color, wouldn't I use less of the pencil? His skin is much lighter here.
The girl that he's with has considerably darker skin than his in most circumstances.
