Critique and interpretation on this please? Does this painting lack focus?

Use antialias unless you want a MS paint kind of look.
Turn correction on (Stabilizes your pen)
Look up books in the book thread. The Loomis books cover how to use guidelines for faces.
Shading can be done using the colorpick sandwich method or whatever they call it.

Firealpaca is a great software, I learned a lot using it. Hope I helped.
