Ill show my support to mai fellow /ic/ beginning nigs. Im a beginner on /ic/ AND /a/. And this thread turn out to be a giant dick slap to the face. I thought I was finally doing good by starting with "Perspective Made Easy", but now, I have to reset what little progress I made all over by starting out with the books like "The Keys of Drawing" and "drawing on the right side".

But I think that I finally learned the first lesson of drawing: realizing that you are doing everything wrong.

My biggest problem is that I always think that I am better than I really I am, and I think that I go through da books too fast(ive been attempting to learn how to draw for about 2 years). My challenge right now is trying to balance the hours between clearing my backlog and drawing. I set up a system where when Im watching shitty anime, Ill draw while watching it, and when the anime is entertaining, I dont draw.

And as for my goals, I want to one day make webcomics that jokes about anime that /a/nons would find funny, and I want to make 3D hentai , because fapping has always been a special part of my life. I think my ideal goal is to make my art look like an anime figurine irl, or like it came just right out of Mario 64. But on the other hand, I heard that style comes naturally, so go figure. So, I hope that every other beginner in this thread and me become good-tier drawers around 5 years. I want us to one day be da Akatsuki of /ic/.(And no, Im not talking about being a bunch of circle jerking tripfags who spam this thread). I notice that every other beginner's personal story motivates me, so I figure that Id make one for this thread.
