Art used to be more than that, and until the last man dies, it will be more than that, if not in the form of 2D waifu (arete), at least as a potentiality (dynamis). Of the three ways to make sense of our world, philosophy, science and Art, only Art is above all knowledge and understanding: it is of the sacred and it's fictionnal, a kind of symbolic language adapted to the expression of certain truths by means of forms. America has a heritage of great comic art (after all, it's the birthplace of comics). Contemporary capeshit not included.
