you should set rules and a reward system or something so you have the perception that you're being externally motivated to do it regardless of your faggot feelings. Do a self portrait every day for a month or something, and then have a reward/reinforcement schedule type of situation.

Every day after you draw it you get a candy or something. Every week you get a bigger reward. Every month you get a yuge reward. Some kinda shit. Positive reinforcement.

And you could do some kind of deprivation meme where you can't do X until after you do the daily selfie portrait. Like can't have a drinkey until you do your self portrait or some shit. Or if you're not an substance addict you could do no fap until you do the portrait, but then you're kind of literally behaviorally conditioning narcissism. Which is bad.

There is no barrier to entry for making art. The people that tell you there is some magical level to be achieved before you start making "pieces" are lying to you because they're selling you a product.

There are countless successful artists that were never anything other than adequate at sketching. There are artists that are and were functionally incapable of "rending their vision" without "cheating." There are no rules if what you're doing is appealing or sellable.
